BRUSSELS – EU foreign policy and security chief Federica Mogherini and the PMs of the Western Balkans Six will on Monday discuss the situation in the region and steps to be taken in 2018, European Commission spokeswoman Maja Kocijančič has announced.
Ahead of bilateral meetings and a working dinner hosted by Mogherini for the six PMs, Kocijančič noted next year was very significant in terms of the region’s further and faster progress towards the EU.
A European External Action Service (EEAS) statement said the EU was committed to strengthen its engagement in the region to ensure further steps by the Western Balkans Six aimed at irreversible progress towards the Union.
The working dinner in the EEAS building is scheduled to begin at around 7.30 pm.
