Referendum in Macedonia on 30 September, Parliament votes

SKOPJE – Parliament of Macedonia endorsed 30 September as the official date for the referendum on the agreement with Greece that would change the country’s name to the Republic of North Macedonia, reports MIA. The question reads: “Are you in favour of EU and NATO membership by accepting the Agreement between Republic of Macedonia and Republic of Greece?” The decision was made by 68 MPs who voted in favour, while members of the opposition were absent from the voting.
