New Head of EU Delegation to BiH presents his credentials

SARAJEVO – Newly appointed Head of EU Delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina, who will also serve as the Union’s Special Representative to the country Johann Sattler has presented the copies of his credential letters to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Sattler, who previously served as Austrian Ambassador to Albania, has replaced Lars-Gunnar Wigemark, who held this position from 2015.

His mandate, according to the statement released following his appointment, is based on EU’s main priorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, that is further progress in the process of stabilisation and association, ensuring a stable, sustainable, peaceful, multi-ethnic and united country which peacefully cooperates with all of its neighbours, ensuring BiH’s irreversible path towards the membership in the Union, Radio Free Europe reports.
