Conference “Western Balkans between Transition and EU Integration Process” will be held on Monday, April 24 at the Central European University in Budapest, organized by the Centre for European Neighbourhood Studies – CENS. This conference will give an insight on the transition process in the Western Balkans and it will give comparative and case country studies offering practical policy solutions.
Panel topics will be “The three transitions of the Western Balkans: Political, democratic, civil society” and “Is the EU Sleeping in the Western Balkans? Need for a Comprehensive Strategic Approach”.
Welcoming speeches will be held by Jan Niklas Engels – Director of Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung in Budapest and Péter Balázs – Director of CEU Center for European Neighborhood Studies (CENS).
Speakers of the first panel will be Venera Hajrullahu – Executive Director of Kosovar Civil Society Foundation, Damjan Zdravev – Researcher and Civil Society Activist (Macedonia) and Hana Semanić – Research Fellow from CEU Center for European Neighborhood Studies (CENS).
Speakers of the second panel will be Ilir Kalemaj – Assistant Professor of International Relations, Political Science and European Studies at the University of New York in Tirana, Jovana Marović – Executive Director of Politikon Network (Montenegro) and Ivana Radić Milosavljević – Teaching Assistant in International Relations Studies at the University of Belgrade.
