BELGRADE – The president and the government of Serbia will send a letter to the European Commission (EC) over its position that Catalonia and Kosovo are not comparable cases, Serbian PM Ana Brnabić told reporters after consultations of top state officials with President Aleksandar Vučić on Monday.
Serbia will request answers to several questions, in particular, to the question whether international law applies to the EU, or there is another international law that is valid for non-EU states, Brnabić said.
“We were truly surprised by the EC’s position and by everything the spokesman said. We wanted to see how we should react in terms of what further questions we need to ask the Commission,” she said.
“I will be travelling to Brussels on October 10-11 for a previously arranged visit and I will definitely take our letter at that time,” Brnabic said.
