This was stated by the Head of the Macedonian diplomacy, Nikola Dimitrov at the meeting with the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the countries-members of the Visegrad group and the Western Balkans that took place in Budapest.
“We shall work the best we can and we shall continue to focus on the reforms at home because our goal is to make Macedonia be a European democracy. We shall continue not have disputes with our neighbors even though there were temptations to do so,” said Dimitrov.
He added that Macedonia in the last few years was facing with a wind in its face.
He also stressed that the region has been out of EU’s attention for several years, but luckily, for several reasons, including the migrant crisis “the attitude has now has been widely accepted that Europe is less safe if the Western Balkans region is not a part of the EU.”
