TRIESTE – Today in Trieste, Prime Minister Zoran Zaev met with his Albanian counterpart, Edi Rama. Prime Minister Zaev wrote about his meeting with Rama on his “Twitter” account: “We share a common vision for a Euro-Atlantic future for the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Albania.”

The Albanian Prime Minister on his official “Facebook” page published a video from the beginning for the meeting and wrote that they discussed strengthening good neighbourly relations and cooperation between the two countries, as well as improving ethnic relations between Albanians and Macedonians in Macedonia, by adopting appropriate laws.

“In Trieste, with Prime Minister Zoran Zaev we spoke about strengthening the friendship and the deepening of the overall cooperation between our two nations. A new page in the mutual relations between our two peoples, promised by Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, should be written with concrete acts for all Albanians who live in our neighbouring country”, wrote Rama.

The meeting was attended by the Foreign Ministers of Macedonia and Albania, Nikola Dimitrov and Ditmir Bushati, as well as Dane Taleski, an adviser to the Government of the Republic of Macedonia.
